    This position is responsible for actively building and maintaining the company’s pipeline of prospective clients consistent with the company’s strategic plan.



    • Desire to engage deeply in Commercial function, communicate with the sales team, with aspiration to grow skills and experience to be equipped for future Sales and/or Marketing roles
    • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking – ability to sift through large quantity of data, accurately “read between the lines,” synthesize broad information into salient points and clearly communicate actionable recommendations
    • Proficient in use of analytical and reporting tools and techniques, particularly Excel
    • Proficient in use of market research tools and techniques including CRM, database query and management, and use of 3rd party information sources



    • Build pipeline of key strategic targets in the relevant marketplace that will promote business growth
    • Monitor pipeline, record, and communicate relevant and timely company information that informs business development and sales functions about significant events, such as successful clinical trial endpoints, management changes, acquisitions, regulatory filings, and approvals.
    • Be the primary owner of the business development pipeline, providing regular pipeline updates and ensure accuracy in the CRM
    • Guide assigned prospects through the company business development process resulting in the transition of qualified leads to the sales team
    • Other duties as assigned



    • Build a strong sales pipeline of qualified, prioritized prospects in all segments of the company’s business, including rare disease, biopharma, and medtech.
    • Develop and maintain prospect contact and opportunity database (Salesforce.com)
    • Work with SVP of BD to identify and build relationships with new business prospects and ensure successful transition to sales team; participating in the sales process as needed in order to close new business.
    • Meet with targeted prospects as assigned and implement strategies to maximize client relationships
    • Participate in company initiatives as required for securing new business and maintaining relationships with existing clients
    • Coordinate prospect communication strategies and tactics with EVERSANA marketing, appropriate to pipeline priority and stage of development
    • Attend and represent EVERSANA at selected industry meetings and conferences
    • Work with internal stakeholders to facilitate successful proposal, negotiation and implementation process.



    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

    • Bachelor’s degree required in business, marketing, or related field
    • 5-10 years of progressive, relevant business experience required in business development, strategic planning, or corporate development, preferably with a rare disease pharma/biotech company
    • Excellent oral and written communication skill
    • Excellent organizational abilities
    • High level of energy and enthusiasm
    • Computer literate
    • Ability to work in unstructured environments and to multi-task, with good process orientation and attention to detail without losing sight of the strategic value of activities
    • Excellent quantitative/qualitative skills
    • Travel up to 50%
