  • Overview


    The most important aspect of this position is the execution of the Supply Chain Solutions new development of premier Life Science and cold chain solutions and TMS implementation support. In addition innovative training strategies for TMS, ColdBox and Global Control Tower systems tracking will be a key requirement. This is a complex and very detailed job function, demanding high levels of technical, research, written and verbal communication, vendor negotiation and internal company alignment. The position will also interface with many varied entities from freight carriers, service vendors, auditing firms, the FDA and US Customs, to clients and their customer(s). With this intense communication environment excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills are critical to achieve the level of quality service the company is expecting to achieve.



      • Design and develop new Premier Cold Chain solutions including ColdBox, senseaware, OnAsset tracking technology, No OSD Service and trucking fleet to include 10 camera 8 sensor deployment.
      • Develop, maintain and support TMS project including training plans for the TMS implementation and functional SOP’s. KPI Client reporting including Real Time Reporting from TMS and EDI.
      • Support Performance Team key initiatives to improve Client Delight.
      • Direct client performance improvement projects for service and claims.
      • Formalize and capture competitive intelligence on 3PL marketplace including Trucking.
      • Source backhaul opportunities for trucking fleet and ColdBox reverse logistics.
      • Monitor delivered service, paperwork accuracy and customs issues
      • Continuous Process Improvement and Problem Solving
      • Maintain transportation team SOP’s and Work Instructions.
      • Effective problem investigation and resolution skills through utilization of the corporate CAPA program.
      • Due to the fast paced environment, it will be critical for the incumbent to track problems, periodically monitor trends, and then put corrective actions in place to eliminate or reduce the chance for the same problem to occur in the future.
      • Put controls in place to reduce the risk for problems.
      • Investigative skills and a process methodology to ensure consistency and process efficiency for problem investigation are critical. Execute on data science needed for TMS and other business intelligence reporting metrics and KPI’s are key to Client Delight.
      • All other duties as assigned



    • Manage the day to day performance, process improvement and strategic initiative deployments
    • Reduce company transportation cost, client cost, and improve margins
    • Manage the new partner agreements
    • Participate in and manage certain carrier relationships driving performance improvement.
    • Sales support, client analysis / consulting, shipment analysis for new vertical freight spend management.

    • Education: A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and 2 year(s) of experience or training or equivalent combination of education and internal or external experience.
    • Excellent ­­­communication skills, specifically ability to communicate effectively with clients.
    • Ability to problem solve and great attention to detail
    • Familiar with WMS, and TMS system processes a plus
    • Experience in transportation and supply chain solutions
