    Position Title:      Engineering Intern  

    Location:            Denver

    Reports to:         Quality Assurance Director or Quality Assurance Manager                                   

    FLSA Status:      Non-Exempt

    Responsibilities

     

     

     

    THE POSITION:

    The most important aspect of the position of the Engineer Intern is to provide technical support to the quality engineers they support.

    POSITION SUCCESS FACTORS:

    • Attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to write technical documents
    • Ability to communicate effectively in writing

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (MUST LIVE IN COLORADO):

    • Assisting the Quality Engineers by participating on project teams by providing quality engineering support in the development of new products and processes, and continuously improving medical device products
    • Assisting the Quality Engineers by contributing to the development of verification & validation plans, testing, and generation of test reports
    • Assisting in the compilation and review of technical documentation for both domestic and international regulatory submissions
    • Assisting project teams on compliance with design control requirements per FDA QSR, European MDD, ISO 13485 and other applicable ISO/EN standards
    • Assisting the Quality Engineers by facilitating and performing internal QA audits as required

    REsponsibilities:

    • Other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor or other management

     

     

     

    MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    • Junior or senior level students that are pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in one of the following disciplines: Bio-Medical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Chemical Engineering. 
    • Strong academic performance
    • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
    • Effective leadership skills particularly in a technical environment
    • Good judgment in technical assessments and problem solving
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Must be a team player with strong customer orientation
    • The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter
