    The Systems Administrator will be expected to exhibit strong troubleshooting techniques while striving to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. On a day-to-day basis, this individual will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions while providing system operational support, administration, problem resolution, and perform hardware and software installations and upgrades. Other duties also include monitoring system performance and capacity. 









    • Hands-on, proven success in systems optimization and IT solutions
    • Experience maintaining server infrastructures operations across multiple domains and versions of Microsoft Windows Server.
    • Effectively plan, install, configure and optimize server infrastructure to achieve high availability and performance.
    • Proven ability to create and deliver solutions tied to organizational development and systems optimization.
    • Automate repetitive tasks by using PowerShell, VBScript and WMI.
    • Skilled problem identifier and troubleshooter comfortable managing systems in a range of IT environments.




    Administer computer systems including creating or editing security groups, application deployments (collections, advertisements, task sequences, etc.), patch management, general troubleshooting, log analysis, upgrades, and active directory group policy.

    • Responds to incoming phone, email or web reported technical issues from internal users related to application, network, infrastructure or hardware.
    • Provides support to local and remote employees for a suite of proprietary and custom software applications
    • Identifies severity and impact and documents details in the Help Desk call tracking system
    • Diagnoses, troubleshoots and resolves issues.
    • Performs system monitoring to ensure service level agreements are met and alerts appropriate IT staff and management of any downtime.
    • Works in partnership with all IT teams to find solutions, and/or escalates issues to appropriate IT groups for resolution. 
    • Manage backup and monitoring systems
    • Communicates status and updates to end users in a timely and consistent manner
    • Sets priorities for open issues and escalates issues to the correct department for resolution 
    • Documents system processes and procedures
    • May require limited travel to other company locations
    • Performs additional support duties as required and assigned







    Minimum Qualifications:

    The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

    • Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences, Technology, degree or relevant experience
    • Must have minimum of 2 years systems administration experience with a minimum of 5 years total technical support experience.
    • Must have a knowledge of active directory, group policy, networking, and operating systems, computer management system administration, software deployment and scripting.
    • Must have the ability to communicate technical knowledge and to users, management and peers.


    Preferred Qualifications:


    • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager configuration, deployment and maintenance experience.
    • Microsoft Exchange administration experience preferred
    • Administration level experience with enterprise backup appliances and utilities
    • Experience configuring, upgrading and maintaining SolarWinds Orion
    • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills 
    • Demonstrated strong customer service and analytic skills 
    • Demonstrated ability to think through sets of complex problems, create and implement appropriate solutions 
    • Industry certifications preferred

    The employee frequently is required to walk, stand, lift, grasp, finger and reach with arms or hands. The employee is intermittently required to climb, stoop, kneel or crouch, pushing or pull and feel. 


    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  This job may require you work weekends and off-hours as needed. You may also be asked to carry an on-call cell phone or pager to support after-hours IT related issues.
