    The Position:

    This Director of the Clinical Network is responsible for the direct patient care services in our infusion program and the guidance and oversight of the infusion personnel – permanent employees, independent contractors and agencies.  This individual will work to enhance and ensure delivery of best in class care delivery for our infusion services program and assure that patient-care, clinical and nursing standards are met.  This position will collaborate with members of the DLSS team to ensure compliance with personnel standards, contracting processes and financial stewardship standards.

    • Provide leadership, resource abilities and advanced clinical knowledge to ensure high levels of direct patient care, patient service and satisfaction.
    • Develop and organize clinical personnel to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of high quality health care
    • Maintain productive and healthy relationships with clients, employees, independent contractors and agencies to promote patient satisfaction and program compliance.
    • Collaborate with leadership to develop clinical metrics to enhance direct clinical care delivery.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilites:


    • Lead clinical navigation direct care delivery teams: hire and train personnel, oversee staff development and ensure competency for safe, effective care delivery, mentor and coach direct reports.
    • Partner with health care providers and personnel to ensure smooth, efficient and effective patient care delivery.
    • Identify and execute opportunities to enhance patient record management, documentation and care planning to ensure best in class patient services.
    • Represent Clinical Navigation on various DLSS teams and committees.
    • Partner with support functions to ensure thorough analysis of metrics and implement improvement strategies.
    • Continually evaluate the efficiency, productivity and accuracy of direct care delivery to make enhancements to improve efficiency and quality and develop best practices.
    • Ensure that nursing and clinical standards are upheld.
    • Maintain regulatory and accreditation standards.
    • Travel may be required, approximately 15-20%

    Minimum Qualifications:

    The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.


    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
    • Active MO RN license
    • 10+ years relevant clinical Nursing and progressive leadership and management experience
    • Highly developed time management skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, follow through and the ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of initiative
    • Excellent communication(written, verbal and presentation) skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management for both internal and external customer base
    • A track record of utilizing tact, diplomacy, good judgment and negotiating skills to achieve mutually beneficial goals for an organization
    • Ability to embrace positive conflict and demonstrated ability to resolve negative conflict
    • Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications
    • Intellectual curiosity to look at a problem from all sides in order to recognize issues and opportunities, recommend solutions and execute to resolution
    • Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, train and develop employees
    • Commitment to process improvement techniques, along with the ability to work with staff to execute enhancements
    • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic environment, make independent decisions and maintain confidential information


    Preferred Qualifications:


    • Advanced degree in business, nursing or health related field
    • Progressive management experience
    • Infusion nursing, medical necessity appeals, and/or pharmaceutical experience
    • Proficiency in electronic medical record utilization


    Physical and Mental Demands:

    This is a largely sedentary role.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, type and engage in repetitive motion.


    The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to stand or grasp.  The employee is intermittently required to stoop or crouch; push or pull or kneel.


    The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and intermittently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


    This role requires mental alertness.  The employee must regularly communicate both verbally and written; concentrate on tasks; remember and observe details; problem solve, supervise, and make decisions.  The employee must frequently adjust to changes; handle stress and emotions; and think analytically.

    This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  The employee is not substantially exposed to environmental conditions.
