Overview

THE POSITION:
This position is responsible for the care and maintenance of the Memphis facility to ensure that it meets all regulatory, safety and efficiency goals, through the execution of all minor repairs, and routine maintenance for the Memphis facility.

• Smooth operations of facilities through execution of minor facility and equipment repairs to meet regulatory requirements
• Maintain equipment to keep equipment down time to a minimum
• Keep facilities clean and organized to meet all regulatory requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Continuous Process Improvement and Problem Solving
o The incumbent is expected to assist the Supervisor of Facilities Management and the Manager of Facilities management in evaluating the efficiency, productivity and accuracy levels of the department and making process improvements to attain high levels of achievement in each business function performed by Facilities Management This duty/responsibility includes effective problem investigation and resolution skills through utilization of the corporate CAPA program.

• Operational Duties
o The incumbent is responsible and accounted to execute day to day activities that will ensure that the facility meets regulatory requirements, and is operating in a safe and efficient manner. To achieve these requirements, such tasks as a) Performing minor plumbing, painting and wall repairs, b) Regularly perform preventive maintenance on pallet jacks and forklifts, c) Repair warehouse machinery as needed, d) Monitor warehouse equipment to ensure they are working properly as expected, e) Clean facility and maintain cleanliness for potential client tours

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• MAINTAIN EQUIPMENT TO KEEP DOWN TIME TO A MINIMUM
• KEEP FACILITY CLEAN AND READY FOR POTENTIAL CLIENT TOURS
• MAINTAIN ALL RECORDS ACCORDING TO SOPS
• MAINTAIN SECURITY ACCORDING TO SOP STANDARDS AND TO KEEP INVENTORY AND FACILITY SECURE TO MEET ALL REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
• MONITORS AND ADDS CORRECTIVE ACTION TO MAINTAIN TEMPERATURE ACCORDING TO SOP STANDARDS
• MUST HAVE A CONSCIENCE MIND TO WORK SAFETLY AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO WORK SAFELY

 

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:

• 3-4 years of experience in minor electrical, mechanical and plumbing
• Oral and written communication skills across multiple departments
• GED or High School diploma is required
• Developed team skills for an effective workgroup
• Understanding and executing well defined oral or written instructions with few problem solving opportunities
• Task focused requiring basic add/subtract/multiply/divide skills to perform the job
• The position rarely requires the use of a computer other than for email

WORKING CONDITIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Environmental demands include walking or standing at a minimum of 80% of the shift, lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing tasks in a busy DC environment. Bending, squatting, pivoting and stooping may be required. Some outdoor work and on call readiness will be required.
